Lavender essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of lavender flower heads. Known for its aromatherapy properties, when placed inside a room diffuser or an essence burner, it offers a rebalancing and calm feeling. It can be added (one or two drops are enough) to cosmetic formulations such as face or body cream, shampoo, conditioner, scrub. This essential oil can also be added to the bathtub or whirlpool to enjoy a relaxing sensory experience. Lavender essential oil also has antibacterial, antifungal, soothing, decongestant and analgesic properties. It is advisable to apply it diluted using a carrier oil, or by mixing a few drops with other formulations.
