The essential oil of eucalyptus (eucalyptus globulus) is known mainly for its expectorant, decongestant and balsamic properties. Excellent for making fumigations, eucalyptus essential oil also boasts refreshing and purifying properties. If inserted inside a room diffuser or an essence burner, it gives a soothing, relaxing sensation. This oil is also used for draining, relaxing and decontracting massages. Simply add a few drops of geranium essential oil to a cream or carrier oil and then massage your arms, legs and ankles. It can be added (one or two drops are enough) to the shampoo in case of seborrhea or dandruff and to the shower gel to enjoy the refreshing effect that this essential oil gives. It is advisable to apply it diluted using a carrier oil, or by mixing a few drops with other formulations.
